I’m grateful for people like Seth Godin, Chris Brogan & Brene Brown. They challenge us to ask hard questions about how we approach our work. Largely due to their influence, I have three simple questions that I want to ask myself more often:
1. What am I afraid of?
2. How can I be more generous?
3. Am I showing up?
These questions can also work for evaluating a project. In the course of a project it might help to focus on the questions in perspective of before/during/after:
Pre-Project & Starting Out
Ask: What am I afraid of?
During the Project
Ask: How can I be more generous in my work?
In Review of the Project
Ask: Did I show up?
These questions might lead to more interesting conversations about the kind of work we choose to do.
