The sharp edges of the project

The sharp edges of the project are a place of friction, the place where it’s easy to get frustrated, the place where someone acts in a way that is illogical or slightly unreasonable. It’s the offhand remark that makes someone upset. It’s the attitude of “my way or the highway.” It’s the place where passion and tunnel vision cause a person to lose grounding in reality.

It’s probably not the whole picture or the whole story. But it might be the only part that you happened to be exposed to.

If you’ve struggled when encountering the sharp edges of projects or people, I’ve found it helpful to try to step away and then try to see it in context of what is probably a much larger project or environment.

A follow up question that I’ve found helpful is this.

How can I help move this situation forward in positive way?
